Took a ride on a historic paddlewheeler that used to move people and goods up and down the Yukon river.
Of course I had to drive the boat!
Next it was off to see what was the largest dredge in North America. Dredges were used to scoop up loose gravel just above the bedrock that contained gold flakes. A long informative tour. This dredge is located about a mile from where the initial gold strike was made that started it all.
Back to Diamond Gerties for more cold beer as this was a long hot tour. Off to a gold mine tour in the morning.This entry was posted in Uncategorized
